    Dear Lee,

Thank you for your feedback. Flavours does need the menubar opaque in order to theme the menubar and/or the menubar icon (the apple icon). However, Flavours only does this change (uncheck translucent item) when applying a flavour, not when starting applications!

If you want to use a translucent menubar you need to check it AFTER applying a flavour:

    1. Launch Flavours, apply a new flavour
    2. Logout and login
    3. Launch System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver > [x] Translucent menu bar

We have just double-checked this procedure works on 10.7 and 10.8, and that the setting is not changed when starting any of the referred applications.

Alternatively, you can create a new flavour (or a derivative work of your favorite flavour) with a menubar transparent!

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Nuno
