Theme problems
Anyone here having some problems with the Beta themes ? And there are at a rough guess a zillion new themes at the themes store.
I have experienced some beautiful looking themes EXCEPT more than often the dialogue boxes are impossible to read let alone see. And so what's the point of making themes that don't really work where they are supposed to work. Pretty desktops and pretty drop down menu's?
And yet when i look at the comments section in the Store for the themes that I am experiencing problems with there is not a single comment.
Perhaps those users not having the same visual problems or they are not aware that they can comment about any given theme at the theme store.
Just curious.

I know that I'm guilty of making a couple of themes in which their Aqua buttons are impossible to read due to current restrictions with Flavours ability to theme the OS.

That's a fair comment Allan.
Curious, do you test your themes in all applications, browsers, and even doing updates to see if you can actually see the dialogue boxes ?
There was one theme i tried not too long ago ( can't recall the name of that theme ) when i selected a drop down menu from the apple menu bar it was just a white rectangle. Mind you the desktop sure was pretty. So I kept the desktop and trashed the theme.
If there are restrictions or limitations in Mavericks i wonder if the limitations will be even greater in Yeo.0 -
I often test my themes in different browser application scenarios and other applications as well. I've not updated much - if any of the dark themes I've made that has issues with Firefox.

Thanks for your comments Allan.
Actually i have given up making anymore comments or submitting screen shots regarding my findings on any themes only because the come back is always the same: it's your computer ( a desktop iMac 2014 ) or its your Mac OS ( 10.9.5 ).
Since there are roughly speaking a zillion or more themes being cranked out daily i simply try them and if they don't work i just dump them with out posting any comment as to the fact that most of them look nice on the desktop but the dialogue boxes in most cases are impossible to read and it's not a FireFox or even Safari. issue0 -
Hello discussion boarders and interacto staff,
I poked around a bit and didn't find anything regarding icons and the use of apps like, Liteicon (functions as intended for me in yosemite ) and candybar (i have had limited success in yosemite with it). I am about to install the flavour beta and thought it might be a good time to ask if anyone has experienced conflicts or concerns in this regard.
Hopefully I can report here that I haven't had any issues with drop down menus.

Here is my report,
Installation went without displaying any errors. Interface appeared on launch. I entered my key, registered and created an account. I entered the store and selected several themes thinking that they would remain in the app and available for me to choose among them when I wanted to change things up. That was not the case. App held only one theme at a time. Speaking of time, I wasted over an hour because of my assumption. I can not log into the store to mark a favorite because although I filled things out, my account and registration are not acknowledged. So I can't log in. I can select themes and they populate the app but they will not apply, instead an error is produced which says, "System files were not backed up. Please contact the support team. So far, it's been a time sponge. I am probably missing a step somewhere.
